The Internship Program
The Halim Clinic Internship Program provides an opportunity for students to assist in advancing the health of patients in the Toledo area. By learning valuable clinical skills in your undergraduate years, students can make a difference in other people's lives early on in their careers. Students will be exposed to a variety of hands-on skills including taking vitals, eliciting a chief complaint, conducting a complete patient interview, and more. Each volunteer intern will be paired with clinical staff member on their assigned days, with supervision of the attending physician.
Scheduling is flexible, but each intern will be expected to volunteer 50% of the Saturdays that we operate. The exact schedule will vary based on demand, clinic load, and intern availability.
Students will be expected to arrive on their assigned days by 8:45 am and stay until the last patient has been seen (approximately 1:30 pm).
