The Internship Program

The Halim Clinic Internship Program provides an opportunity for students to assist in advancing the health of patients in Northwest Ohio. By learning valuable clinical skills, students can make a difference in other people's lives early on in their careers. Students develop a variety of hands-on skills including taking vitals, eliciting a chief complaint, conducting a complete patient interview, and more. Each volunteer intern is paired with a clinical staff member on their assigned days, under the supervision of the attending physician/dentist. 

Schedule

Scheduling is flexible, but each intern will be expected to volunteer 50% of the Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays that we operate during their cycle. The exact schedule will vary based on demand, clinic load, and intern availability. 

Interns are expected to arrive on their assigned days by 8:30 am on Saturday and 4:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and stay until the last patient has been seen.
